Kate Middleton in Reiss

I mentioned yesterday that Kate Middleton was rumoured to have bought the 'Peacock' dress, and that turned out to be correct as Kate wore the dress to the Epsom Derby on Saturday.

The semi-sheer top half, which I'm sure would not be appropriate Royal protocol, was covered by a cropped   jacket from Joseph. Catherine completed her look with nude patent pumps and a diamante encrusted clutch bag, both by LK Bennett.

This is an incredibly chic look and I'm surprised that Kate has not worn her hair up more often in the past as it looks great, especially with the hat. I predicted yesterday that if Kate did indeed wear this dress then it would be an instant sell-out, which has been the case. The red version, as worn by opera singer Katherine Jenkins on 'Popstar to Operastar' has also completely sold out.

I hope the rumour that the Duchess has hand-picked and sourced the 40+ outfits she will need for her North America/Canada trip also proves to be true! She is such a great ambassador for British style.

What do you think of Kate's Princess style?
