Lookbook: Warehouse Summer '11

Warehouse have just launched their new Summer '11 lookbook.  It is split into four different themes:

Bold and Beautiful consists of brightly coloured dresses, perfect for a summer wedding or a day at the races. This range features the hugely popular Slouchy One-Shoulder Dress in coral.

New Neutrals focuses on fashion-focused detailing, such as pleats and cutaways. My favourite piece from the collection is the cape front shirt. It is really versatile and can be styled a la lookbook, tucked into denim cut-offs, or with a pencil skirt to make it work-friendly. 

Next up is 70s Summer, which features beach essentials, such as floppy hats and kaftans. I love the styling of the kimono jacket over the rainbow cutout swimsuit. 

                 

Finally, Birds of Paradise showcases the many printed pieces in Warehouse's collection. These dresses and separates are the perfect day-to-evening wonders; just swap the sandals and straw bags for platform wedges and a stack of bangles on each arm. The Photographic Blossom Print Dress would be perfect for a summer wedding or christening.

Lookbook: Zara May 2011

Every month Zara release a lookbook of their key pieces for the coming few weeks. In this month's drop, it is clear where they have taken much of their inspiration from. From the cropped varsity jackets as seen at Isabel Marant to the sharp, sleek silhouette of Celine, they appear to have taken a very varied approach to piecing together the collection.


While there appears to be no continuing thread linking the looks together, there is certainly something for everyone. Whether you're embracing the Louis Vuitton-influenced Oriental kimono style or the Etro-pretty paisley summer dress, Zara's your one-stop shop for all things fashion-forward this season.
