Who wore it better? Olivia Palermo vs. Chloe Green

                           

 

Socialite and star of 'The City' Olivia Palermo is a huge fan of this Topshop skirt, and it appears she's not the only one!


Chloe Green, daughter of Topshop owner Sir Philip Green, wore hers for the Burberry Prorsum A/W '11 presentation during London Fashion Week in February. She layered her skirt over a grey marl body and added a faux-fur cropped cream gilet on top. She wisely kept her hair away from her face in a ballerina bun and added only a single gold chain and diamond studs in the way of accessories. 


Olivia wore her skirt a couple of days earlier at the Matthew Williamson A/W '11 presentation at LFW. She wore a cream Matthew Williamson knitted roll-neck with her skirt and accessorised with a Reiss 'Harriman' hat, Zara booties, a brown belt, stack of gold bangles, and a beige embellished clutch. Like Chloe, Olivia added a cream faux-fur jacket over the top of her outfit. 


I much prefer this skirt on Olivia, as I like the addition of the belt and the way she has embraced the 70s era with her whole outfit. I don't feel like Chloe's outfit is cohesive; it looks like she saw Olivia's styling and tried to mimic it.

Olivia Palermo in Topshop

Reality star and socialite Olivia Palermo was recently in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, to take part in the Coca Cola S/S '12 runway show, in which she walked. 

On her trip she was pictured in this ensemble, which includes Topshop white pleated shorts. She teamed the floaty wonders with a Masscob white shirt, Lulu Frost necklace, Giambattista Valli ankle-strap heels and a colourful Julia Parker striped clutch.

Olivia Palermo is no stranger to the High Street. She proved this once again when she attended the recent Ferrari store opening on Park Avenue in New York wearing these H&M studded hotpants and Miss KG by Jurt Geiger 'Bond' platform heels.


The heels are beautiful! They have a gem-encrusted platform which photographs really well. Olivia added a loose white blouse and her Mulberry 'Neely' bag in blush pink.

Olivia Palermo in Mango, Topshop & Zara

 

Olivia Palermo is a huge fan of the high street. It is therefore no coincidence that she is often voted the 'best dressed' in polls!


A recent stroll through New York's Upper East Side was no exception as she wore her favourite Topshop Unique skirt, with a sage Mango shirt. 


This is such an unexpected combo but it works so well together; it is definitely a style I will be trying on the not-so-windy days! 


Olivia also wore this skirt when she attended the Matthew Williamson F/W '11 presentation during London Fashion week in February. On this occasion she teamed it with a Matthew Williamson chunky knit and brown Zara lace-up booties.

Olivia Palermo in Zara

     Olivia Palermo was recently spotted at The Cinema Society and Grey Goose Screening of 'There Be Dragons' in New York.

She wore a bubblegum pink Zara blazer with a grey silk shirt and black leather Tibi shorts. The Queen of Accessories finished off her outfit with Charlotte Olympia olive green satin contrast-platform heels and a Club Monaco beaded clutch. 

I love this outfit! The blazer really makes the outfit and transforms it from an 'office' outfit to one suitable for a night out. The unexpected pairing of pink and grey works really well together, so I will definitely be trying out this colour combo!

The blazer, with gold brass buttons, is still available to buy on Zara's European site. While it appears to have sold out on the UK site, they do have very similar styles available here.
