Topshop has recently launched a new 'Dress Up' range- a collection of 'statement making dresses' to be worn with 'intangible cool'.
Ranging in price from £45 to £180 there's something for all occasions and all budgets, but perhaps not all tastes...
I'm normally Topshop's no.1 fan but I'm finding it hard to get too excited about many of these dresses. This may be due to the fact that a lot of the dresses are very 'un-Topshop' - with excessive over-embellishing and mesh panels galore. It seems fitting that the website's blurb describes the range as 'irreverent'...
I do, however, have a few favourites, namely the 'Petrol Beaded Vintage Dress' (£150) and the 'Tulle Spot Prom Dress' (£75).
What do you think? Am I being too harsh or are Topshop taking a step in the wrong direction with this range?
