Actress and singer Jennifer Lopez attended the Samsung Hope for Children Gala at Cipriani Wall Street, in New York, earlier this week. She wore a red Temperley London Drape Shoulder Ruffle Cocktail Dress from the Fall 2011 ready-to-wear collection, and added Christian Louboutin 'Lady' nude peep-toe pumps.
French Connection have created a similar dress to Jennifer's, in deep blue, which shares the same asymmetrical style and ruffle detail on the shoulder. French Connection's version nips in a the waist but has a flared skirt, so it is certainly a more forgiving choice if you don't have the body of J-Lo!
French Connection created their 'London' dress to celebrate London Fashion Week and gave it the bargain-tastic price of £35, considerably less than the average FC dress!

Jennifer Lopez and Saoirse Ronan have both been spotted wearing the same Topshop mint chiffon sleeve cropped jacket.
They each styled it in VERY different ways! Jennifer used hers to take her outfit from 'the club to the album signing' while Saoirse wore hers over a Topshop sleeveless chevron stripe and floral playsuit for a recent film festival appearance.
I love Saoirse's outfit as a whole and think it's much more wearable so she wears it better in my opinion.

Jennifer Lopez recently attended an album signing for her new record 'Love' at Best Buy.
She wore an outfit deceiving of her 42 years (!), consisting at black satin hareem pants, a tiny black bra top and black patent peep-toes. She finished off/covered-up her look with this Topshop mint chiffon sleeve cropped blazer.
The outfit definitely needed some kind of jacket and I think this one works really well as it is not too heavy so doesn't weigh the look down.
In real life, I wouldn't recommend wearing this jacket in this way, however it would look great over a little black dress on chillier nights or to tone down a print-tastic ensemble!
